The Wuhan-Guangzhou high-speed electric multiple units (EMUs), independently developed and devised by the China CNR Corporation Limited (CNR), is ready for a promotional trial run in Changsha, captial of central China's Hunan province December 23, 2009. The bullet line, which shortens the 10.5-hour trip between Wuhan and Guangzhou, to three hours; It speeds along at 217 mph and is scheduled for official operation on Dec. 26.
